This is a new particularly hardy variety
(down to - 15° C). In contrast to its parent plant 'Edward Goucher', its foliage
is evergreen and turns purple in winter.
Of medium growth, it presents a bushy
shape, dense and spreading.
Height: 1.50 m to 2.50 m Width: 1.00 m to 2.00
m
The flowering from June to September is abundant and lightly fragrant. The
corollas colour, a violet shade of pink, is enhanced by the purple tint of the
calyx and the plants shiny foliage.
Uses:
Abelia
likes all types of soil, in preference light, and a sunny position is very suitable.
Because
of its delicate flowers all through the summer and its evergreen foliage during
the winter, AUDEROSE ®
is the ideal shrub to embellish a flower border or a medium high hedge. It grows
equally well in pots.
Cut back at the end of winter.
