This evergreen shrub with variegated
foliage, light green and golden yellow in the spring, is coming into young orange
coloured shoots turning to scarlet red in the winter. Its shades can vary according
to position, climate and type of soil.
Its habit is dense and even; it reaches
a height of 0.80 m and a spread of 1.20 m.
The perfumed white flowers in summer
and autumn stand in beautiful contrast to the purple stems.
Uses:
It
grows even in poor soil, as long as it is well drained.
It has to be protected
in winter only in cold climates.
'Kaleidoscope'
is very well suited for small gardens, tubs and balconies, in sunny position.
Cut
back the tips of the shoots lightly at the end of winter.
