Anisodontea scabrosa 'Miss Pinky'

Characteristics:
Obtained by Keith KIRSTEN - European P.B.R.
Native to South Africa, this new selection of Anisodontea displays flowers continuing from April to October and also into late Autumn in milder climates. The flowers, similar to those of Malvaceae, are bi-coloured: pale pink with dark pink veins in centre, larger than type (up to 2-3 cm in diameter), and very attractive to butterflies.
'Miss Pinky' has been selected for its upright and bushy habit, more compact than type.
Height: 1.00 - 1.50 m. Spread: 1.00 - 1.50 m.
Its finely dissected aromatic foliage is evergreen to semi-evergreen.

Uses:
'Miss Pinky' blooms in abundance from Spring to Autumn and is perfect for flower beds, pots on balconies and patios.
Prefers a sunny position with a drained to well-drained soil especially during Winter.
Semi-woody, hardy to - 8°C, will benefit from protection. Ideal plant for pots in colder areas.
May be pruned to retain shape as required.
