Characteristics:
Obtained by H. KOLSTER - European P.B.R.
'Young Lady', between 1 and 1.20 m high
and about 1 m spread, is a good strong plant, particularly dense and round in
its form.
Its rounded, green and deciduous foliage has beautiful yellow to
red tones in the autumn.
This 'wig tree' is covered in spectacular silky,
pink-white plumes from May on. After cutting the flowers new stems appear to flower
again until October.
At the end of winter cut back the stems to about half
of their length. It is resistant to the principal enemies in our gardens.
Use:
This variety is well adapted to all regions and all types of soil, well drained
in winter. It prefers a sunny position for good flowering.
'Young Lady'
can be planted in groups or in flowering hedges
and is also well adapted to container growing.
The flowers and foliage are
particularly recommended for summer bouquets.
