This
unusual shrub hydrangea presents a beautiful deciduous purple-green foliage and
superb colours in autumn.
It is of bushy shape. Height: 1.00 m - Width: 1.00
m.
In June and July it's covered with numerous and elegant flat, slightly umbrella
shaped groups of dark pink sterile flowers, and a crown of fertile bright pink
flowers (red in acid soil), with a bright white centre in full bloom.
Uses
This
very hardy shrub prefers humus soil, but adapts to all other types, as long as
they are cool.
This very hardy Hydrangea is interesting in cold areas. It should
be planted preferably in semi shade position.
AVELROZ
® is recommended for small gardens, but may be used also in great numbers
for open spaces, associated with evergreen shrubs.
At the end of winter, cut
out dead wood or wood hit by the frost.
