Characteristics:
Obtained by INRA / SAPHINOV - European P.B.R.
This recent variety, derived from Lavatera olbia 'Rosea',
shows certain special features as compared to the classic varieties of Lavatera.
With both its height and diameter are 1.20 m to 1.50 m, CHAMALLOW ®
is a particularly compact, bushy and rounded shrub. Its light green, velvety,
toothed foliage remains healthy. These qualities mean it is ideal for growing
in containers.
The branches are straight and are covered with medium-sized,
deep pink, with darker pink striped flowers.
Uses:
Its hardiness depends on the region and the nature of
the soil. With its interesting shape and its attractive summer flowers, CHAMALLOW
® is ideal planted as a specimen, in a border
with other shrubs and plants or in a low mixed hedge.
