This
variety of Elder keeps its purple colour all summer long. The foliage is deciduous,
the branches are erect. Height : 2.50 m - Spread : 1.80 m.
During May and June,
large, delicate pink flowers, turning white, giving off a lemon perfume, stand
in contrast with the dark foliage.
In the summer its dark purple berries are
much appreciated by the birds.
Cut back hard in early spring by renewing the
branches (only 1/3, in order to obtain flowers on the uncut branches).
