'Alexandra' has got a beautiful deciduous dark purple foliage; it is the most purple among all the varieties of Weigela.
This new variety of Weigela is middled-sized; its form is upright.
Height : about 2,00 m Width : about 2,00 m at full size.
'Alexandra' is very floriferous in may; the dark pink flowers are standing in contrast with the very purple foliage.

Uses
Being very ornemental for a big part of the year, 'Alexandra' can very well be planted in bushy clumps or as informal hedges.
Trimming advised cutting out the old branches, after flowering.
