Characteristics
Obtention: INRA
/ SAPHINOV - European P.B.R.
This
selection of climbing Honeysuckle of our new range CAPRILIA
® derives from the Lonicera periclymenum
'Florida'. Its growth is medium.
Height: 2.00 m to 3.00 m Width 2.00 m
From
mid June to July this variety is particularly remarkable due to its big florets
up to the top of the plant. The scented flowers are dark red in the bud stage,
getting lighter on opening, then turning a creamy yellow before wilting, producing
a beautiful cascade.
Its dark green foliage shows off the flowers. Tests by
INRA have shown a good resistance to black spot, oïdium and greenfly.
Uses
It
can be grown in any type of soil, provided that it is well drained; it must be
watered well during its plantation year.
Planted in sunny position or half
shade CAPRILIA ® Imperial will awaken
an enclosure or a wall thanks to a trellis.
Cut back for a balanced plant.
