Characteristics:
Obtained by INNOVAPLANT
- European P.B.R.
Like our other selections,
these Euphorbia present evergreen foliage and flowers with remarquably acid shaded
bracts.
Two new varieties of Euphorbia enrich our range.
'Despina'
: Erect foliage in shape of a spatula, green tinted
turquoise, even in winter.
Ball shaped. Height 0.30 m to 0.50 m Width: 0.40
m.
Flowers sulfur yellow.
'Efanthia'
: Green foliage on the upper side, red underneath, with bright red young shoots
in the spring. The leaves take on a beautiful tint in the autumn and don't curl
up with the cold. Dense and bushy shape. Height: 0.30 m to 0.50 m Width:
0.40 m to 0.45 m.
Flowers chartreuse green on red stems.
'Despina'
and 'Efanthia' are very hardy (- 20° C). They
need a well drained soil, tolerate drought and a little lime.
In full sun or
half-shade position they will brighten up the edges of beds, rockeries, containers
thanks to the varied colouring of their foliage in all seasons and their long
very special flowering.
Cut the flowers after wilting for a better ramification
and more abundant flowers in the following spring.
