Characteristics:
Obtained by M. BALDASSARE / COMPASS - European Registered
Plant
This Gaura selection is of a particularly dense shape; the shrub
itself measures between 25 to and 30 cm high when the leaves are out, but once
in flower it reaches 40 to 50 cm. 'Passionate Pink'
has a spread of approximately 40 cm.
The lance shaped leaves are of a dark
green and give a good contrast to the flowers from June to October: the dark red
buds open into 2.5 centimetre deep pink stars with long stamens. This variety
is very floral and true to its colours.
It is very hardy and does not have
any major known enemies.
Use:
'Passionate Pink'
is recommended for a sunny position, planted with other perennials and shrubs
but because of its bushy shape it is also very interesting in pots and containers.
