Among the butterfly lavenders, 'Winter Lace' is a particularly cold- and damp resistant selection. Its grey-green foliage remains strong even after a very cold winter ( -15°C).
This variety is upright and compact.
From the beginning of April this early flowering and floriferous lavender produces flower spikes, on long stalks, topped by an elegant crown of sterile bracts which are more than 3cm long. The dark purple bracts become paler with age.
