PITCHOUNE ® Violet, a beautiful compact agapanthus with deep inky purple tones
Description
The flowers of the PITCHOUNE® Violet agapanthus are really a unique, very deep but luminous colour. This new variety rounds out the range of PITCHOUNE® agapanthus, selected for their highly compact habit. Its inflorescences are large and held on short, sturdy stems. The yellow stamens stand out against the inky purple petals. The flowers are sterile. A prolific bloomer in June and July, the PITCHOUNE® Violet agapanthus can offer repeat flowering until September, depending on the region. Its foliage is deciduous.This agapanthus can be planted in the ground in areas with a mild climate. It is preferable to grow it in containers in colder regions, so that it can be overwintered in a frost-free place.

Range PITCHOUNE®
The PITCHOUNE® agapanthus have been selected for their compact habit and their large, many-flowered inflorescences held on short, sturdy stems.
Like all Agapanthus, they love rich and well-drained soils and tolerate droughts and lime.
They prefer sunny exposures, but also flower well in part-shade.
They must be protected in cold climates (temperatures below -5 to -10° C).
PITCHOUNE ® Blue, Violet and White are particularly beautiful in summer, planted outside in mild areas, in pots on terraces or balconies.
