Chantilly Merit Award 2021 for Hydrangea macrophylla SO LONG® 'Starlit Sky

On Saturday, October 10, 2021, during the Chantilly Plant Days, the international jury awarded the Prix du Mérite to our new variety: Hydrangea macrophylla SO LONG® 'Starlit Sky'

Hydrangea macrophylla SO LONG® 'Starlit Sky' is an absolutely unique variety. Its large, bright-pink florets, marbled with white, turn soft pink marbled with green at the end of the season. Its foliage is atypical, its stems robust and its shape very compact.

Launched this year (2021), SO LONG® 'Starlit Sky' has created unanimous enthusiasm among amateur gardeners at each of its presentations at plant fairs. Its colors, originality and exceptional behavior also won over the jury of experts at the Chantilly days.

Let's bet that this is a very promising start for this new variety!

Chantilly Plant Days

Every spring and autumn, the Parc du Château de Chantilly plays host to the unmissable event dedicated to plants, biodiversity and garden trends. The Plant Days bring together over 200 of Europe's most prestigious nurseries and exhibitors, selected by the various Selection Committees according to the criteria and quality requirements defined by the Exhibitors' Charter.

This internationally renowned benchmark event brings together garden enthusiasts, aesthetes and the curious for 3 days. The International Jury of Merits is present to distinguish the most beautiful plants.
